The Blues will face off against the Blue Jackets tonight at 7 CT in a Central Division battle. The Blue Jackets (16-14-7) are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. Columbus is coming off a 3-1 over the Predators yesterday night in Nashville, their first win in Nashville since April 3rd of 2006. The Blue Jackets sit at 10th place in the Western Conference entering tonight’s game with 39 points, only 1 point behind the 8th place Blues, just to give you an idea how big of a game this is. The Blues (19-14-2) are 6-4 in their last 10 games. St. Louis is coming off a 4-3 win in a shootout over their rival Blackhawks yesterday in Chicago, their first win in the United Center since February 3rd of 2010. The Blues now have won two straight games after losing three straight. Â
Both of these teams made big moves before the deadline, as the Blues acquired Jordan Leopold and Jay Bouwmeester, meanwhile the Blue Jackets acquired Marian Gaborik.Â
The Blues are 2-0 against the Blue Jackets this season. Blues won on Jan 31st in Columbus, 4-1 and Feb 23rd, 2-1 in St. Louis.
Jared Boll and Tim Erixon are out for Columbus, Scott Nichol, T.J. Oshie, and Jaroslav Halak are out for St. Louis.Â
